Ollie (Trent) Pratt

Ollie Pratt, 85, of Wallace, passed away on April 9, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Vicco, KY to the late Joseph Trent and Bertha (Wells) Trent.

Ollie was a Baptist by faith and was dedicated to God.  She had worked as a seamstress in Kokomo, IN, a home health aid and a Sunday School teacher and youth leader.  She loved singing for local churches, gardening and farming.  She had a passion to help anyone or any living critter in need.

Ollie is survived by her loving husband of over 65 years, Eugene Pratt; one daughter, Brenda Kelley of Wallace; two granddaughters:  Amanda Main and fiancé Brian Webb of Clarksburg and Marlana Tetrick and husband Jesse Natis of Lumberport; five great grandchildren:  Johnathan Lowe and wife Kristi of Wallace, Cameron Blake and companion Autum Long of Morgantown, Tyler Minnix and wife Amber of Grafton, Jasmine Sheets and companion Hunter of Fairmont and Andrew Sheets of Lumberport; two great great grandchildren:  Jayden Cole Kinsley and Bailey Rayne Workman; her loyal dog “Peanut” as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ollie is preceded in death by eight siblings:  Corsie (Bud) Trent, Lloyd Trent, Mac Trent, Boyd Trent, Earnest Trent, May Amburgy, Callie Pence and Marie Dills. 

The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to WVU Hospice for the care and compassion they gave Ollie.

Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 11:00am until time of service, 1:00pm with Pastor Jeff Burnside officiating.  Interment will follow to Wallace Lions Cemetery.
